COLIN MA

Founded our firm with my brother, Richard, in 2007 in a little space right behind our parent’s garage where my little pup would greet all our friends while my mother served soup. I’m still here in the demanding world of taxes because I love all the value and experience I am able give back to the community. Come catch a round of golf, surf the fresh pow, or join me on some street food action somewhere in the world!

IRIS LEE

I began my career as a professional therapist and unexpectedly transitioned into the tax industry in 2021. To my surprise, many of the skills I honed in therapy—empathy, communication, and problem-solving—proved invaluable when working with tax clients. I now manage a significant part of the company and genuinely enjoy helping clients resolve their IRS issues—almost as much as I love avocados!

EMILY SERVINO

When I am outside of my tax professional uniform, I am a vocalist in my band. Music was always my one and only passion until taxes crept in somewhere along the way back in 2013. I’ve enjoyed evolving as a professional along with the ever-changing tax laws. Come see me if you need help with your taxes or come rock along with my band for a good night of music!

CARLO DE GUZMAN

Prior to becoming a partner at the firm, I served as Vice President of Finance & Accounting at a national financial firm. Before that, I spent nearly a decade as a Senior Tax and Accounting Manager at a regional CPA firm in the Bay Area. My early connection with Richard and Colin fostered a strong foundation for collaboration. In 2020, leveraging my Enrolled Agent license and Master’s in Taxation, I recognized opportunities for the company’s growth in the corporate space and was pleased to join their mission of delivering high-quality service to the modern taxpayer.

CATHERINE YIP

Catherine, a California Certified Public Accountant, brings over 23 years of experience to her role, including Big Four audit experience, technical accounting expertise, and operational skills. Her background includes corporate accounting and advisory positions, where she collaborated with start-up, pre-IPO, and public companies.

JULIAN YUMUL

I am a dedicated bookkeeping and tax professional with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. I specialize in managing financial records and tax inputs, ensuring client’s accounts are organized and compliant.

JOHN WONG

I’m the Bookkeeping Manager who keeps your books in better shape than my perfect jump shot. I was excited to join the team bringing years of accounting experience from Cathay Pacific and Lululemon. When I’m not crunching numbers, I’m on the green, desperately trying to keep my score lower than your tax bill!

SONJA COX

I spent seven years as a Contract Manager at a multi-million-dollar government contracting firm, overseeing contracts, subcontracts, procurement, document control, quality assurance, and HR functions. I’m driven by continuous learning and take pride in delivering quality results. Outside of my professional life, I’m a cigar enthusiast who enjoys karaoke, painting, and spending time with my family.
